Swine flu is a respiratory infection found in pigs that can effect people. Once a person is infected, those who are infected can pass the swine flu on to others. Since this disease has been confined to pigs, humans have not built up an immunity against it.
Even in the face this strain of flu, their are actions you can take to minimize your chances of being infected.
Step1
Avoid coughing in the faces of others to help stop the spread of Swine Flu. Instead, cough or sneeze into the crook of your arm. This is better than coughing or sneezing into your hands where germs are easily passed.
Step 2
Wash hands frequently to minimize the spread of Swine Flu. We touch objects that are infested with germs. Door knobs are the worst-- daily, hundreds of people grip them. If this isn't possible, use hand sanitizer.
Step 3
Avoid crowds. If you live in a highly populated city, this could be difficult.
Step 4
Wear a mask to minimize exposure to the Swine Flu. Flimsy mask offer little protection. For the most protection, wear an M95 mask. It's sturdy, giving you the most protection.
